About Diana Mau, CPA
Diana Mau graduated from Simon Fraser University in 1975 and obtained her chartered accountant designation in 1978.
Diana previously practiced with Touche Ross, Ernst & Whinney and Ernst & Young specializing in Canadian taxation & personal financial planning. She started her own accounting practice in November 1991.
Since 2018, Diana has streamlined her practice and focuses on providing tailor-made services and solutions to high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients. Currently, most of her work is involved around tax planning and reporting, financial planning, retirement and estate planning.
Diana is very well recognized in the Chinese Community in Vancouver and has helped many immigrants from Hong Kong and China in developing tax strategies, as well as setting up new businesses in Canada. Diana is also active in nurturing new talents in the accounting industry and supporting them in their career development. She has designed an accounting training program and has trained hundreds of students, enabling them to acquire hands-on knowledge and on-the-job experience.
She frequently appears on Chinese radio and TV shows on money and tax matters and has delivered countless tax seminars. She is the author of a bestselling book titled “Canadian Tax Planning Strategies”, written in Chinese. Diana was a founding executive of Sunbrite Business Association that initiated the largest Chinese New Year Fairs in the 1990s in Vancouver. She was the President of Hong Kong Canada Business Association, Vancouver chapter 1994/1995.
